Welcome to “Dental Tales.” My name is Dr. Akhila, and my journey to becoming a dentist has been full of challenges and achievements, leading me to fulfill my dream.
Although I had a strong interest in mathematics, my goal was to become a doctor. After finishing tenth grade, I chose to pursue a BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) course, aiming for a career in medicine.
Moving to my intermediate studies was a significant challenge. Being an introvert, adjusting to new surroundings and unfamiliar faces was tough. The difficulty was not just academic; it was a struggle against my nature, making it hard even to attend college regularly.
After two unsuccessful attempts to secure a medical seat, I didn’t give up hope. My persistence paid off on my third try when I was admitted to dental school.
In 2017, I started at Panineeya Dental College in Hyderabad. The curriculum required extensive study, practice, and interaction with patients, which improved my dental skills. During my residency, I worked in a clinic to gain experience with various dental cases. My graduation in 2023 was delayed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Creating “Dental Tales” is the latest step in my journey, supported greatly by my brother. His expertise has been key in creating this platform, allowing me to share my experiences, insights, and inspirational stories.
